ECO CLUB

ECO CLUB aims to educate and empower students to participate and take up meaningful environmental activities and projects through which students can reach out to influence people around them and neighborhood communities to promote sound environmental behavior. It will empower students to explore environmental concepts and actions beyond the confines of a syllabus or curriculum .

The objectives include-

* motivating students to keep their surroundings green and clean through action based activities like tree plantation, cleanliness drives etc. both within the school campus and outside the school campus.

* organise awareness programmes like rallies, marches, street plays, quiz, essay, painting, best out of waste competitions etc.

* educate students to create environmental awareness among public regarding minimum waste generation, proper segregation and disposal of waste, cleanliness of surroundings, minimise the use of plastic bags and more..

* to develop skills of observation, experimentation, survey, analysis, reasoning needed for conserving environment through activities.

* motivate students to imbibe habits and lifestyles that promote’ living sustainably’.

Activities planned for 2022-23

1. Celebration of Van Mahotsav (Celebrated in the month of July- under the theme- Go Green – Better environment ,better tommorow. Tree plantation drive was undertaken in the school campus and in the nearby adopted villages.
2. Best Out of Waste- Based on the 3 Rs Reduce- Reduce- Recycle.
